暑い夏の日の朝。

本日もご訪問ありがとうございます。

今日も暑くなりました。

昨夜はオリンピックの男子サッカー予選、スペイン戦を興奮しながらテレビ観戦し、かなり寝不足の私です。

 

しかし今日は金曜日！UKC JAPANのシェルターで保護されている犬たちのお世話に元気に行って来ました。

最近の金曜日はボランティアさんの出足が遅く、午前中は２、３人で作業をすることが多かったんだけど、

今日は…

ボランティアさんがいっぱ〜い

遠路はるばる名古屋から来てくださった方もいたし、久しぶりに同じ曜日で作業をしたボランティアさんもいたりして、お掃除に、お散歩に大忙しだったけど楽しく作業ができました。

が、

午後悲しい出来事が…

拡張型心筋症と診断されていたセッターの小太郎が、朝は元気だったのに、昼過ぎにボランティアさんが様子を見に行ったら息を引き取っていました。

 

以前はケージの前に「危険マーク」が貼ってあり、他の犬との接触は厳禁だった小太郎。

そのうち「危険マーク」が取れ、人懐っこい小太郎はお散歩の時ぐいぐい凄い力で引っ張って歩いたっけ。

でも、半年ほど前から咳き込むようになり、心臓病と診断され、以前の強い引きはできなくなりました。

そして散歩にさえ行けなくなっていましたが、それでも獣医師の余命１ヶ月という予想に反して半年以上も頑張っていました。

苦しいだろうに、個室の窓から中を覗くと、いつも顔を上げて尻尾を振ってくれました。

 

精一杯頑張った小太郎…

さて、今日はミッチー＆貫太を家の中に入れてボランティアに出かけました。

もちろん犬たちのためにエアコンを入れてね。

で、３時頃帰宅すると、

ミッチーは…

ぱっこ〜ん

 

でもね、出かける前の様子はこんなだったの。

いつエアコンのスイッチを入れるか…

毎日悩んでいます。

一度入れると夜まで切れないからねぇ。

つい買ってしまいました。

 

スイカ好きなもので…

今日はボランティア先でたっぷり汗をかいたので、「どんな物でも美味しく感じるだろう」と思って飲んだけど、

         

予想通り…

不味いっ！！ 

「季節限定の赤いコーラ」ってスーパーでは書いてあったけど、

これを「コーラ」と呼ぶ意味があるのか？？

そう言えば２年ほど前に「ペプシシソ」って出したよね。

シソ好きのミッチーも飲まなかった…

Michyさん、今日の記事、とても切ない気持ちで読みました。
はなも苦しいだろうに呼びかけると
尻尾は振ってくれましたよ。
小太郎くん・・・腹水抜去が６回
段々と心臓の動きが悪くなっていくから
お水もたまりやすくなっていったんですね。
痛い治療なのによく頑張りました。
虹の橋でははながいるよ。
もう苦しく何てないから思い切り走り回ってね。

拡張型心筋症は本来小太郎君のような大型犬に多く発症されます。
余命１ヶ月だったのに半年以上も延命でいたのは
Ｍｉｃｈｙさんをはじめボランティアの方々の
手厚い看護の賜物だと思います。
本当にご苦労様でした。

さてスイカペプシですが
わたしも大のスイカ好き。
以前その缶の色合いのかわいさに
つい買ってしまった「スイカソーダ」
一口飲んであまりの不味さに捨ててしまいました
（誰も飲めない不味さだった）
やっぱりスイカは加工しないでそのままいただくのがベストですね！

小太郎君残念です・・・
余命が半年、でも一年以上生きられた事は
スタッフの方々、ボランティアの方々の
手厚い看病があったからなんでしょうね
小太郎君、今頃福島の山を走り回ってるのかな

ボランティアさん。大盛況だったんだね！
それはそれは大忙しだけど～嬉しい悲鳴。
夏休みはこの調子で乗り切りたいですねっ！

小太郎はさぁ。
まだ元気でE棟にいた時、
「こんなでかい犬を散歩できるだろうか･･･。」って一瞬躊躇したんだよね。
察した代表が大丈夫！って送り出してくれて、
お散歩に行くと、
確かに引きは強いけど、私のペースにもあわせてくれてね。
セッターって優しく賢い犬だなぁ。って思った。
もうシェルターにいないと思うと、悲しさがこみ上げるけど、
きっと魂は大好きな福島に帰ったよね。
ありがとう。頑張ったね。って、声をかけてあげたいな。

Michyさんこんにちは！
早朝にお邪魔したのですが動画非公開に
なっていましたので、もしかするとたろー母の
PCの所為かな～？などと思いコメント入れず
退室しましたがこれはPCの問題ではないと
思いメールさせて頂きました。
金曜日ボランティアさん多数ご参加して
下さったとのこと良かったですね～～♡

しかし小太郎君の急逝にはただ驚き・・・
あの大きなお部屋のお掃除したことを
思いだし、もうあのお部屋から掃除している
姿を見ていた小太郎君はいないかと思うと
悲しみと辛さで言葉もなく・・・
今はただ安らかにと願うばかり！
余命１ヶ月という予想に反して半年以上も
頑張った小太郎君！
代表始め多くのボランティアさんの愛に
支えられたことも大きな力になった筈ですね！

暑い中お疲れさまでした。
熱中症で倒れる方が毎日出てますので、
無理されないようにお体に気をつけて下さいね。
ボランティアの方々もたくさん来られたようで、
名古屋の方・・・若い女性ですか？私の知ってる人かな。
昨年もボランティアに行ったそうです。
こういう状況をたくさんの方が知ってくれるといいですよね。

先日は連くんへ温かいコメントありがとうございました。
突然すぎて戸惑いましたが、あれから一週間経ちました。
私も凛も元気です。
