雪の翌日…

本日もご訪問ありがとうございます。

北国の方には笑われるかもしれませんが…

 

昨日の湘南地方に積もった10cm以上の雪は、

大雪。　

神奈川県では400人以上が転倒し、100人以上がケガをしたという。

そして怖いのが翌朝。

案の定、中途半端に溶けた雪が明け方の冷え込みでカチコチに凍っていた。

 

歩きづらいのはもちろんのこと、

一番困るのは、匂いが薄い（しない？）のにこの雪の塊は石の様に硬いこと。

全盲のミッチーは気づくのが遅れ、鼻先をぶつけてしまう

自分が滑って転ばない様に、そしてミッチーが鼻をぶつけない様に…気をつけながら散歩をしたら朝から疲れました。

それでも荒らされていない空き地に行くと、少しだけテンションが上がったミッチー。

 

ちょっと楽しそうに歩き回っていました。

そんな今朝の様子を動画でご紹介します。（珍しく短いよ）

でも、やっぱり帰りには冷たい足元がイヤみたいでした。

 

２、３回滑ったしね

そう…薄く氷の張った道路は滑るのです。

今日は火曜日で、UKC JAPANのシェルターにボランティアに行く日。

でも、シェルターがある寒川町は我が家より内陸部。

朝のうちは日陰の道路はまだ凍っているかもしれない。

ノーマルタイヤの我が家の車。運転に自信は…ないっ！！　

…ってことで、やっぱりバスで行くことにしました。

がっ！

先ず時刻表通りにバスは来なかった

そしてシェルターに続く道は大渋滞！　

途中から「バスを降りて歩こうかな？」って思ったほど。

でも、歩道も変な形に凍っていて歩きにくそう。諦めて携帯を見ながら１時間かけてやっと辿り着きました。

連休明けの平日。道路の渋滞。

案の定午前中はボランティアさんの数はすっくな〜い

これはピンチか？！と一瞬思ったけど、こういう時ほど底力を発揮するUKC JAPAN。

（人手不足を聞きつけて？）午後からベテランボランティアさんが続々と集結してくださいました

で、作業のペースがグンとアップ

“過去最大の延長”も覚悟しましたが、A棟が終わった３時に帰ることができました。

なんか…感動した。

こんなチームの一員でいられることが嬉しいです。

嬉しいと言えば…

A棟のハブ（改め、ハウル）がいたケージにこんな貼り紙がしてありました。

 

「ハブは卒業しました♡」の下にちっちゃく「おめでとう」って書いてある。うるうる

これは昨年の７月、miw@さんと私で「すごい受け口だね〜！」なんて笑いながらハウル（元ハブ）の写真を撮っていた時の様子。

 

この頃は、ハウルがmiw@家の家族に加わるなんて想像もしていませんでした。

同じケージで同居していたシゲルが“香川組”第一号で里親さんの元へ巣立って行ったんだよね。

 

ハウルのシェルター卒業は、私にとって今年一番の（始まったばかりだけど）嬉しい出来事でした。

昨日の様子はUKC JAPANのブログ（コチラ）とmiw@さんのブログ（コチラ）で見ることができます。

そして…

miw@家と我が家は車で15分ほどの距離。

これまで何度もあーく君を連れて遊びに来てくれています。

むふふ♡そう遠くない時期にハウルも我が家にやってくるはず

迎え撃つミカンコンビ。

やっぱりさぁ、翌日はたいへんだよね・・・
