本日もご訪問ありがとうございます。

赤と緑に心が躍る季節となりました。寒いけどね…

 

昨日はUKC JAPANの神戸三宮での街頭募金活動でした。

詳しくは後日UKC JAPANのHPで報告があると思いますが、多くのご支援、多くの出会いがあったようです。

ボランティアの一人として私からもお礼申し上げます。

 

実は昨日の夕方、募金活動を終えたUKC JAPANの代表、タッズ父から電話がありました。

ミッチーが緑内障と闘っている時のことをブログで見ていてくださった方が、三宮駅に足を運んでくださり、募金してくださったと言うのです。

ご自身の愛犬（黒柴ちゃん）も緑内障を患っていたとのことでした。

タッズ父が湘南シェルターに戻ったら、ゆっくり話を伺いたいと思っていますが、

電話を切ってから、胸がじ〜んと熱くなりました。

Iさん、ありがとうございました。

本当に、本当に、ありがとうございました。

ブログを始めてから３年半ほど経った頃、ミッチーの残された右目も緑内障を発症してしまいました。

左目の発症から２年経過していたので、「右目は大丈夫かも…」と油断していました。

それから右目を義眼にするまでの約２年間、図らずも「緑内障ブログ」のようになっていた頃があります。

 

右目を義眼にする１年前。（左目は既に義眼になっている）　

ブログを始めた頃、そしてミッチーが緑内障を患っていた時も、「緑内障と闘う犬や飼い主さんを励ますブログにしよう！」なんていうしっかりした志があったわけではありません。

「誰かを励ます」どころか、皆さんからのコメントやご訪問によって私が励まされ、支えられ、助けられてきました。

 

右目を義眼にする４ヶ月前。目薬によって右目の周りがかぶれてしまった。　

私が治療や義眼手術に正面から向き合えたのは、そんな皆様からの応援があったから。

そして何よりミッチー自身がくよくよしたりせず（犬だから当たり前？）、淡々と、我慢強く病気と闘ってくれていたからです。

 

全盲になる１ヶ月前。クリスマス用の写真を撮りました。右目が随分大きくなっています（牛眼）。　

そんな我が家の経験が、同じ病気を抱える飼い主さんの参考に少しでもなれば…と今は思っています。

 

ミッチーが緑内障を卒業した今、　（以下全て１ヶ月以内の写真）

 

私がこのブログでお伝えしたいのは、

 

例え光を失ったとしても、

 

犬たちは決して不幸ではなく、

だから飼い主も不幸ではなく、

 

穏やかで、優しい時間を過ごせるということ。

あ、ミッチーの場合ガウガウ＆剥きっ歯、お怒りモードのことも多いですが…

 

そして今、縁あってお手伝いしているUKC JAPANの活動を私は応援しています。

だってこんな可愛いコを預かっているから。

私はMichyさんのブログに出会って、犬にも緑内障がある事を知りました。そして犬の生きる強さも知りました。
今、病気と闘っている動物の飼い主さんにはどうか希望を持って欲しいと思います。

本当にそうですね。
ワンコが病気に罹ってブログをしていなかったら
わたしもこころが折れて凹みっぱなしだったと思います。
Michyさんと緑内障を通してお知り合いにならなければ
繋がらなかったご縁もいっぱいありますしね。

神戸の募金活動も多くの方が足を止めてくださったようで
よかったですね。
本当はシェルターの子を一頭でも幸せにするべく
我が家に迎えてあげたかったけれど
それがかなわない方々は多いと思います。
うちも物資や資金の面でしかお手伝いできないですが
そういう形でもボランティアはあるって切り替えて
一人でも多くの方が保護犬のことを知ってもらえることが
重要だなと思うようになりました。

わたしは今日福島まで迎える仔犬を見に行ってきました。
あのね、Michyさん。
家の密集度がのりさんちのワンコは
貫ちゃんに似ています。
寒い地方で外飼いしていると
犬はそれに合うように毛もみっちり生えるんですね。
貫ちゃんが暑がりなのも納得した１日でした。

本当に･･･☆
見える事が幸せなのではないんですよね。

飼い主さんとワンちゃん・猫ちゃん達が笑顔でいられる事が一番！

手術をするまでのMichyさんの苦しみ・悲しみ･･･
blogを読ませて頂いているだけの私ですが本当に伝わってきました。

あらためて～無理のない範囲で（気力にも体力は要ります！）ワクワクな
毎日を過ごして下さいね～～～♪

あはは。代表ったらよっぽど嬉しかったんじゃないかしら。
火曜日にはMichyさんボラるのに、それまで報告が待てなかったんだね。
電話越しの弾む声が聞こえるようです。
当方のコバンザメblogも「blog見てます」なんて言われると、
やっぱりめっちゃ嬉しいです！
あーくの闘病をきっかけに、
たくさんの方に応援してもらって、支えてもらいました。
Michyさんとは闘病時期が重なったこともあり励まし励まされました。
お互いの頑張りが力に変わったよね。
目が見えなくなる･･･
一体あーくはどうなってしまうのか怖かったけど、
全盲でもフツーに生活ができるし、
ミッチーちゃんやあーくは何も変わらないね。
目が見えないことはただの個性で不幸じゃないよ~って言いたい。

Michyさんから広がってゆく温かい輪を見ていると
今の時代ではブログは重要な情報伝達ツールなんだな、と思います。

神戸での募金活動も無事に終了したようで・・・。
ティアハイム建設に向けてメキメキと根を伸ばしてますね！！
そちらでもMichyさんから広がった輪に触れた方からの
ご支援もあったとのこと、「すごい～！」と感動しました。

闘病記は犬を飼う者にとって、有り難い情報だと思っています。
なるべく多くの予兆を知っておけば、早期発見に繋がりますし
同じ病気の以降の経緯がわかれば事前準備や心構えもできます。
今回、ミッチーちゃんの闘病記を(たぶん)全部読ませて頂きました。
文章にすることはとても辛かったのではないかとお察しします。
その勇気と貴重な情報に感謝します。とっても勉強になりましたm(_ _)m
しかし少女時代のミッチーちゃんも、かなりかわいかったです～♪

もう２年ちょいになるかな？
Michy&ミッチーの虜になってしまって・・・
最初は可哀想なミッチーと思いながらココへ訪れていたけど、
いつのまにか目が見えない事も忘れて
明るいMichyさん、papaさん、とのやり取りがオモシロすぎて
すっかり義眼の事なんて忘れてました〜
うちには可愛い？MAXがいるけど
その愛犬を押しのけて、よその犬を携帯の待ち受けにしたのは
後にも先にもミッチーだけです・・・
そう言う魅力的なblogなんですよね
ココで知り合えた人たちもサイコーです！
神戸も大勢の人が来てくれて神戸出身のワタシも嬉しいです♪
